Labyrinth

The labyrinth is shaping up nicely.  Out of the 308 "Folgate" lavender plants we planted only a couple didn't survive.  In the center of the labyrinth is a bench made from a hand hewn timber found under the barn (but not structurally supporting anything!) and two large wood stumps.  We initially used a reel mower to cut the lawn but it was more than a workout to do that each week.  We wanted to minimize the environmental impact in keeping with the spirit of the land and the design of the labyrinth, so we wanted to avoid gas powered mowers.  We finally settled on a cordless electric Black and Decker lawnmower that is amazingly quiet and does a great job.
