Summer Weddings and Lavender

Lavender buds are being used as a replacement for throwing rice at weddings!
It is softer than getting pummeled by rice. It is not a threat to birds as rice is and who doesn't love the smell of lavender?  We have made small lavender bundles for place settings at weddings, little bags holding buds for the guests to throw as the bride and groom exit their ceremony and nothing is prettier than a fresh bouquet of dark lavender intertwined with baby's breath.
