Harvest

We are in our 3rd week of harvesting.  The harvest is staggered based on the varieties we have, which is a good thing, because if they all bloomed at once we would be very busy indeed.  The latest variety we are harvesting is Grosso, which is a major oil producer on beautiful long stems.  This photo is the lavender all bundled and resting in the harvest bag we made to help us this season.  I underestimated the amount this bag can hold - we put 90 bundles in the bag and it wasn't even half full!  The bag is serving its purpose quite well.
