Winter Still

Well the groundhog saw its shadow so another 6 weeks of winter. Not that we would have done this any different we still plant our lavender the week after Mothers Day. I'll prune the apple trees in March. The chickens are starting to lay more eggs. The cycle of the year continues. There is a certain sense of calm nestled in these winter months, a chance to reflect, a chance to fix what broke during the summer months. To take stock of our needs and wants both on the farm and in our hearts. I have been blessed this past year. I have had my ups and downs, but like the seasons they come and they go. Now after being a year on this farm recreating it into the dream we imagine, things have begun to take shape and to be realized.
