The first harvest of last year's plantings are complete. The color and scent are amazing. This is the variety Buena Vista. Next year with more mature plants, the stems will be longer and even more beautiful. The hardest part of this lavender growing business is you can't speed the growing seasons up, it is always looking one year next or two years down the road. At times it can be frustrating. No instant gratification here. You just plan and prepare. When your field is in bloom, it is worth all the effort, planning and waiting!
