Cider Press Project

Today I started the cider press project that began in thought and planning last apple season.  I purchased off of Ebay, last year, a broken down press to salvage parts from. I wanted mainly the cast iron bridge screw part of the press.  Measurements are made and all the rust scrubbed and now prepped and repainted a nice apple red as pictures show below.  Next is procuring some nice quarter-sawn oak for the rest of the press stand.
