Summer 2008

I can't believe I haven't written here since the winter so much has been happening at the farm.
This spring we planted over 400 lavender plants from Stonegate Lavender Farm in Oregon. Sarah there was just wonderful in recommending some varieties that should do well in our northern clime. It was the perfect day to plant lavender, not too warm, overcast with a slight drizzle when we were all done. We planted a few varieties for culinary uses, a pink and a white variety of lavender. We now have 10 different varieties for the farm. The different varieties really show the diversity of this wonderful plant.
